Give Love A Try//Chapter 11
1 month later: July 4th
Miley’s POV
Nick and I have been together officially for 2 months. I seriously couldn’t live without him; he’s like a drug to me. Wow that sounds so weird, but I just want to be with him as much as I can before the summer ends. We never thought about what would happen after summer ends. Would we break up or be able to handle a long distance relationship? But whatever happens, I am glad I met Nick this summer.
Right now we’re at Nick and Demi’s July 4th party, well its a little party with Demi, Taylor, Selena, Nick and me. We didn’t want to have a big party, so we stuck with just our group. Also, Selena is nice now, but we aren’t friends yet. We are sitting in circle about to play truth or dare. It happens to be my turn.
I look at Demi. “Demi. Truth or dare?” I ask. She smiles as she answers. “Dare of course.” I smile as I think of something good. “I dare you give Taylor a lap dance.” I say trying not to laugh.
“Seriously? Wow I guess one little lap dance won’t hurt.” Demi says as she walks over to Taylor giving him a lap dance. I could tell Selena was jealous, but she kept a fake smile on her face. That girl needs to keep fighting for him if she likes him. As Demi is giving Taylor a lap dance, I look over at Nick who is staring at me. “What?” I ask. “I didn’t know you weren’t so innocent.” He says whispering in my ear and then kisses my neck softly.
I blush a little as I respond. “Well I’ve changed a lot since these past 2 months.” He chuckles to my response as he pulls me on his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist. “Yeah well I like this new Miley. You are way more confident.” I smile as I kiss his lips. “I do too baby.”
After Demi is done, it is Taylor’s turn. He looks at Selena and asks her. “Truth or dare?” Her smile appears bigger. “Truth.” He thinks for a bit for what to ask her. “Who do you find the hotter me or Nick?” Selena’s face was so shocked that she didn’t know what to say. “umm I would say…you.” She says quietly hoping no one would hear, but we heard. Taylor smiles as he winks at her. Selena blushes like a tomato as she looks over at Nick. “um Truth or dare Nick?” “Dare”. Nick answers back. I guess the Jonas family aren’t afraid to take risks.
Selena smirks as she looks at me then back at Nick. “I dare you to make out with Miley for 5 minutes.” She says as my eyes widen and Nick just has a grin on his face. “In front of all of you guys?” Nick asks. “Well duh that’s what makes it interesting.” Selena replies with smirk.
Nick looks at me in the eyes as he leans slightly closer. “Just pretend were alone on your balcony.” He whispers trying to make me less nervous. I nod slightly as I lean in and our lips smash together. Nick and I are like a puzzle, where if you’re missing one of us then we aren’t complete. All I remember was wrapping my arms around his neck and his arms around my waist. Our make outs always ended up so intense and I felt like I was going faint from all the warmth off his body. My fingers end up getting tangled in his hair as he whispers in my ear. “I love making out with you.”
1 week later
Nick told me to meet him at beach at midnight because he wanted to give me something. I am really anxious, but excited at same time. I take a seat on a rock as I put a sweater on because it’s pretty cold. I felt strong arms wrap around my body as I instantly felt even more warmth. “Hey beautiful. What are you doing here by yourself?” He whispers as he takes seat next to me. “I’m waiting for my amazing boyfriend to come.” I say while smirking.
He pulls out a box with a letter taped on top of it and hands it to me. “Happy Anniversary baby.” He says with a cute smile. I take the box as I wonder what is in it and what the letter says. I open the box where I find a heart necklace. I open the heart and it says inside of it. N + M=Forever. I look at him as I smile trying to wonder how sweet he is to me. He then opens the letter for me. “I wrote this song for you because it exactly shows how I felt the first week I met you.
I read the letter which is titled Give Love a Try. One part in the song really stands out to me.

a dream come true.I feel tears go down my face as I’m happy he is feeling the same way I am feeling about him. Not only can he show me he cares about me, he can have it written down on paper. “You seriously know how to put a smile on my face. Like I can’t put into words how much this all means to me.” I say while wiping my tears. He wipes away the rest of my tears with his thumb as he responds. “You deserve it all Miley. I hope we can be together forever because I know we can make it through anything.” I intertwine are hands together. “I know we’ve been through a lot and it hasn’t torn us apart.” I reply back feeling butterflies in my stomach.
10 Minutes Later
Nick and I are walking back to my house as we are ready to cross a street where cars are going back and forth. He holds my hand as we begin to cross street as I feel I drop something. My necklace. I quickly let go of Nick’s hand as I look down trying to find my necklace. The next thing I knew I felt something hit my stomach as my body hits the ground. I hear Nick yelling my name in a scared voice. “Miley..Miley! Please wake up!” He says in a pleading voice. I feel my eyes close as the pain and the blood bleeds through my stomach.
