Chapter 7
With Miley
I’ve been trying to text and call Nick for the past 2 days, but I think he is ignoring me and I don’t know what I did wrong. I hope he isn’t mad at me because I don’t even know what I did wrong first of all. I decided to call Demi, since she’ll probably talk to me and tell me what’s going on with Nick. I click her name on my cell phone and wait to hear her voice.
“Hey Miles.” She said sounding happy as she always is.
“Hey can we talk because Nick won’t talk to me. I replied back while wondering why he is ignoring me. She doesn’t say anything at first, but then I hear her speak. “What do you mean he won’t talk to you?”
I sigh as I wonder how come Nick didn’t tell Demi, he seems to tell her everything. “Well I’ve tried calling and texting him, he won’t return either and I think he is mad at me.”
“Wow he never told me he was mad at you, but I don’t get why he would be. You didn’t do anything wrong right?” she said feeling curious as I am about why is Nick acting all weird.
“Nope I have no clue even if I did something wrong, so that’s why I called to see if you can find out.” I ask in a pleading voice.
“Yeah sure Miley” she says as I smile knowing she will fix things.
Later with Demi
Nick’s POV
I’m sitting watching TV trying to take my mind off Miley, but her face I keep seeing and her voice just keeps echoing in my ears. I see Demi walk in with curious eyes which are a sign she wants to talk, so I turn up the volume and keep my eyes on TV.
“Nick.” She says as she sits across from me and blocking my view from TV. I groan as I lean back. “What do you want Demi?”
She crosses her arms. Wow she must be mad at me now. “I want to know why you are being such a dick to Miley.” Her face looks serious, so I knew this was important.
I look at her feeling quite confused. “She is in the one dating Taylor and making me believe she likes me, when she doesn’t.
Her eyes light up as she smiles slightly. “So you like her and now you’re jealous that she is maybe with Taylor.”
“Yeah I do like her, but obviously she is into Taylor, so I’m just wasting my time.” I say turning my gaze away from Demi. She gets up and pats my shoulder as she whispers in my ear. “Then fight for her”.
Later that Night
Miley’s POV
I couldn’t fall asleep at all because I kept thinking what’s going on with Nick and why he won’t talk to me. I decide to go on my balcony, since that’s where I go when I can’t sleep. As I enter the balcony, I see Nick standing, but his back is towards me. Maybe this is my only chance to talk to him. “Nick” I say in a soft voice, since it’s pretty late.
He turns around and has no emotion on his face. “Hi” he says sounding like he doesn’t want to talk to me. I smile slightly as I walk closer, so I’m facing him. “I’ve been trying to talk to you for the past two days, but you keep ignoring my calls and texts.”
He runs his hand through his hair, as he lets out a frustrating sigh. “Yeah I know, but I just needed space from you.”
My smile fades away as I frown. “Oh, so you find me annoying or something?” I can’t believe he said he needed space from me. What did I do wrong?
He looks at me and I see his eyes sadden a bit. He was defiantly upset about something. “You’re not annoying I just don’t want to talk to you. Shouldn’t you be with Taylor anyways?”
I crinkle my eyebrows in confusion wondering why he is bringing Taylor up. “What does Taylor have to do with you ignoring me?”
He rolls his eyes. “Well obviously you like him, so why shouldn’t you be with him.” I hear his voice crack after he says that. I shake my head laughing. “You’re jealous I’m hanging out with Taylor?”
‘I’m not jealous; I’m just shocked you’re with Taylor.” I could tell he was lying, his eyes said it all. “Look I don’t know why you’re mad at me, but I didn’t do anything wrong.” If you’re jealous I’m spending time with Taylor rather than with you then tell me.” I reply back, as I wait for his response.
He just shakes his head laughing. “Look I’m done talking to you, so have a nice life with Taylor.” And with that, he opens the door and walks in his house and leaving me alone in the dark wondering what I did wrong.
